this and that...fish hat

well, my sweet hubby has so loving-ly (how do you spell that?!?) reminded me over the past few days that i haven't updated in over a month! how can this be? my life is so full of amazing and wonderful things, how could i go a whole FIVE weeks without an update? ok, well truth be told, my life is nothing exciting these days... most of it i don't really care to talk about, so that explains the lack of updates. but i can jot down a few fun facts about our lives over the past 35 days.

3. our trip to indiana was a disastor. the only saving grace was getting a night out with shannon and her hubby... which by the way little lady, we did NOT dance, so i can't mark this one off my life list just yet... next time we're in town, i don't care how pregnant you are, we are dancing :-P... ooh, and we did see snow, LOTS of snow, so i guess that was nice too. but the rest of it was pretty much craptastic.

4. today while babysitting a pure little devilbaby i got pooped, peed and spit up on... he screamed his bloody little head off for THREE hours straight while his grandparents left me alone with him and i kid you not the instant they walked back into the house he chilled out totally. i think he looked at me, winked and said, see ya sucka! i on the other hand immediately thought, we are for sure waiting till we're 35 to have kids!

5. looks like i may end up being a professional nanny after all. while i'm not at total peace about this yet, mostly because of the tens of thousands of dollars in students loans i have for the education that was supposed to get me the great paying job, i do enjoy the thought of not sitting at a desk day after day... and i certainly don't miss all the crappy office politics.... so, just start calling me nanny amanda :-) well, don't just yet... i do have a few more interviews to get through.

6. one morning a couple of weeks ago i was peaking out the window to see if any snow had fallen (it hadn't) but i DID see two grown deer being chased by a teeny tiny yorkie dog. it was probably the most random thing to see in the middle of nashville! it was good for a giggle!

7. my heart was shattered last week by the way. i saw the first commerical for "late night with jimmy fallon" STARTING........ March 3rd!!!! WTF!?! i thought we still had time to get to NYC for one last taping of conan :-( sad, sad, sad day - i guess not. and after seeing jimmy at zanies, i have to say, i'm not looking foward to him taking over coney's place and i really don't like the thought of coney taking over jay's place and i even less like the thought of a primetime variety show five days a week on nbc with leno. oh NBC, why are you doing this to me? well, i decided since we won't make it back to new york till at least may, we'll just start going to tapings of ellen... she let's her audience dance anyhow, which is way more fun. i'll have to warn you all when bub and i show up, trying to dance on her show. we're probably the worst dancers on the face of the planet!!

8. it's cold here! ok, that's all there really is say about that.

9. i cut all my hair off... it was time for a change. it's so short now i can hardly get it in a ponytail. and i LOVE it! 2009 can only get better and i wanted a fresh haircut to go along with that.
