random thoughts for this evening...
- i have no idea how this started, but one evening last week bub and i were sitting together and somehow we were talking about going through customs (b/c you know, we're WORLD travelers, well ok, not so much, but nolensville road really feels like another country some days) anyhow, you know how they supposedly ask you, "do you have anything to declare?" bub stated that he would declare, "YES, God bless America!" and he didn't mean it seriously (not that i shouldn't be something serious, in that moment he just wasn't trying to be serious), but he said it so matter of factly, that it made me laugh my face off. ok, so now writing it out, it doesn't sound like the funniest thing in the whole wide world - but believe me, if you had been there you'd have giggled too!
- the worst profession on the planet would seriously have to be a local weather person. our local guys have been SOOOO wrong as of late and i find myself getting salty with them (and bub finds himself getting down right livid, yes LIVID!). but if you think about it, they're supposed to predict the frapping weather, that seems pretty hard to me! i hope they get it wrong again tomorrow and we avoid the rain yet again :-)
- i took my HESI exam today. not sure what HESI stands for, but it's basically the GRE for nursing students... i needed at least a 75 to get into the program and i got an 85. it doesn't for sure guarantee my acceptance, but hopefully it was good enough along with my application so i can start nursing school next year... we shall see! my a/p class is kicking my booty. i really need to get it in gear and study some more. it's very interesting though and i'm loving it.
- kate gosselin on dancing with the stars, really?!? part of me wants to watch just to see how she does, but the other part of me wants to NOT watch just b/c she's on. ugh, that lady just needs to stay out of the limelight for a bit...
- speaking of limelight, i was totally hooked on the bachelor and couldn't believe that vienna won jake's affection. well i can actually, i googled spoilers for the show early on and they said that he'd pick her. i never should have done that, ordinarily i love that sort of thing, for instance i'll often read the last chapter of book first b/c i just can't stand no knowing what is going to happen, but this time was different, i was a little sad to know the outcome... that'll teach me!
- spring is almost here! i can't wait for it to for real warm up. the past fews days have been nice, but i'm so ready for a few warm days and to start working in our flower beds. bub had to have a talk with the cat neighbor about his gajillion cats that like to poop in our flower beds, it's SO gross! we asked him, if at all possible, to keep this from happening. he assured bub that he'd work on it, i'm wondering how you might get that many cats, i mean, it is literally a GAJILLION, to somehow stop them from crapping in our yard, but like i said, he promised to work on it. i'm wondering if we could put out a live trap and catch them and take them to the shelter? this of course after we've given him PLENTY of time to work on the problem and talked to him again, we wouldn't just snatch away his cats in the night! but they seriously poo everywhere, even on top of the grass. poor bub will mow the lawn and then have to clean up his "s#*t shoes" b/c they are so covered in cat doo... ugh! ok, i didn't mean to rant about this, but it is nice to know we've approached the situation and hopefully it'll end soon!
