the great weenie update

well now i've got a bit of time, i can tell the full weenie story...

so a few co-workers and i decided to take a lunch adventure and head to east nasvhille to go hit up "i dream of weenie" - the eccentric hot dog place. i wouldn't call it gourmet like i did the previous post, but it was definently a step up from your average ball park weenie. we arrived at the place (i think it's off woodland street??) and headed up. we got our weenies and made our way to a little patch of lawn where, rather than seating, we were offered a plastic table cloth sort of thing to spread out on the grass and sit... it was great fun, until we noticed the local fox channel camera guy - filming us - sitting in the grass stuffing our faces with weenies and might i also say it was about 95 degrees... so there i am, hot, sitting on a plastic table cloth, being filmed by the local news guy stuffing my face... let's just say it was not my most dainty hour - BUT, still, i dream of weenie was a great place to grab lunch and if you're out that way i highly recommend it... i'll be sure to let you all know when my weenie eating camera shot is set to appear. they were also out there to interview the local hoola hooping group or teacher or something - the hoola hooper gals - so look for them too :-)

well, it's almost friday - thank goodness! this week of work is kicking my patooty! tomorrow night though we'll have brian and moriah over for dinner (michael's cooking up beer-can chicken - yum!) saturday i hope to hit up the pool and then i get to babysit for the bean and sunday night i think we may hit up a sixpence none the richer show at 3rd and lindsely... it's a NSN show, so perhaps i'll run into some old L100 folks - most likely not though since when i worked there david hall was the one and only person to show up ever and that was just b/c he had to do stage announcements... he's not the sort of guy to be excited to see an old fellow employee, but kris is playing with MPJ and so i hope to see miss heather's sweet face...

ok - enough of my rambling...

oh one last thing - i spoke to my mom today and dad had a good day. his blood work came back "normal" - so he can take his chemo this week AND he gained back 8 of the 16 pounds he lost two weeks ago - so a giant praise for that!
