monday, monday

so i'm sitting here at work and i've got about a billion things to do, but all i can think about is that the chicago trip is coming up tomorrow... i really REALLY hope that it doesn't rain (b/c we have no alternate plan for the boat trip) and that it goes really well so that my boss will know that i'm not a total spazz. i'm flying up tomorrow morning to go early and make sure everything is ready to go (and i'm sneaking michael along :-) - i just don't want to travel around chicago all alone) and then wednesday i'll put him on a plane back to nashville and i'll greet all my co-workers and the clients bright and early for our day of fun in the windy city... it should be a great day. we'll take a sail boat tour of the chicago skyline and eat a fancy french lunch on board, then it's off to see jersey boys (some musical about the band the 4 seasons) and then cocktails and dinner at the red light - some fancy shmancy asian fusion sort of place, then back on a plane headed for home. there's about a billion things that could go wrong - BUT, i'm believing that all the hard work we've done will pay off... wish me luck, i really need to prove to my boss that i'm not as stupid as he seems to think that i am.

so we went to see the new batman movie on friday night. it was amazing! sad and very dark, but absolutely amazing... probably the best movie i've seen in a while. the theater was insane though. we bought our tickets the day before on fandango and even showed up about 20 minutes early and we still barely found seats. there were cops directing the lines for the different shows and you couldn't stand in line unless you had a ticket in your hand. we went with another couple and the only seats we could find four together were just about in the front row and forget about actually parking in the theater's parking lot. we ended up parking down the street at a verizon store and hiking in. but it was all totally worth it... it was such a good movie!
