so long PG

so wednesday turned out to be an interesting day to say the very least. the day was about done at work, but i was planning to stay late b/c i had alot of work to do, bub was working at the TMG and i didn't really have anything else going on that evening... i was in the middle of a couple of projects when our HR woman called me into my bosses office... i walked in and could tell something was wrong b/c they both looked sort of unhappy. well, to make a long story short, they decided that i needed to leave - as in i was given the boot and kicked to the curb. why was i asked to leave you might be wondering? well, i wish i could tell you - but i still don't know. the only explanation was that i "just wasn't a good fit"... why after being there a little over year all of sudden i just wasn't a good fit is beyond me... i'm not sure why now, after i was told we wouldn't be meeting again for another job review until december that all of a sudden i needed to go - but they did. oh well, they can kiss my patootie. i really wasn't a big fan of that job anyhow - at all. on paper it was an excellent job with good benefits and a good title - but in person the job sucked big time. i don't want to rant too much, but let's just say that i will NOT miss that job and there are only two people there that i'll miss seeing. it's a shock to not have work though.... i need to find something new quickly. i've been applying for jobs like crazy since last week, hopefully i'll hear something soon... this is not the economy or time of year to be looking for work. i think this will turn out to be a blessing in disguise though. maybe i'll go back to school? maybe i'll try a totally new line of work? maybe i'll end up finding something totally amazing that i wouldn't have otherwise even considered? yeah, i think this will turn out to be a good thing. till then i'm going to enjoy having a few days off, though i will say, daytime tv is not nearly as exciting now as it was during college! i am not sitting my booty in front of the tv all day though. i'm meeting a friend for lunch shortly, then it's off to vandy's temp services to see about getting in there and then i think i'll come home and make my sweet and amazingly supportive hubby a nice batch of cookies! if there was a way we could afford for me to be a stay at home lady that would be ideal :-P
