when it rains, it pours... on bub's side of the bed

so let's see... since we've owned our little home we've had the a/c die on us, taken on a MAJOR insect infestation, found out we've got a giant hole in our foundation, combated a broken toilet, leaking washer connections, electrical outlets that could potentially burn the house down (which at this point might not be a terrible thing), electrical issues that wouldn't allow us to run the dryer and oven at the same time and though a minor annoyance, had the cable go out again and again and again (we've made friends with the comcast guy)... we've tried to handle each situation with grace and patience... ok, who am i kidding, people read this blog, they know i do tend to flip out at times. it's just that no one told me how much work owning a home would be!!! well, let's hope we can handle the latest issue a wee bit better! friday night i wasn't feeling well and went to bed early all drugged up on some nyquil. i was out cold and loving it! when all of a sudden i was woken up by my dear sweet hubby flipping on the lights and flipping out himself.... seems we had experienced a little rain storm and our new little roof decided to fail us and rain was dripping down onto his side of the bed. the roof isn't covered by our home warranty and we now have a nice big crack in the ceiling... AND it's supposed to rain all week... it's going to be ok, right?!? it isn't going to be too expensive to fix, right?!? i'm going to trust that it's all going to work out and we will stay nice and dry until the problem can be fixed! but seriously, enough with the casa drama already!

we had an amazing trip to north carolina... it was a wonderful weekend full of busy, busy, busy! we were able to see several of bub's good friends and to spend time with his family. of course we made time to eat some goodberry's frozen custard (why does nashville not have any of this?!?)we even snuck in a trip to the beach, which was such a wonderful surprise! you know my obsession with the ocean... it was a very brief visit, but so worth it. there is seriously nothing better than the coast and the ocean. i can't wait till our oregon trip this winter, i know it will be cold, but a day to the coast is in order!

does anyone else think it's weird that ellen is going to be AI's new judge? i just don't think i can take her seriously. she's so funny and i don't see her being a serious judge. hmmm, it'll be an interesting new season, that is for sure!
