a month in a minute

ok - so has it really been a month since i posted a blog??? where has time gone?

halloween was fun! bub and i dressed up as a greeky god/goddess couple sorta - i think i looked like a foo foo ice skater - BUT, it was still so much fun! we also got our very first trick-or-treaters at our new little home. we didn't get too many though, so those five or six kiddos shared the four bags of candy we purchased!

sweet sister and momma came for a visit two weeks ago. it was so so so nice to spend time with them - it doesn't often happen that we're all together. we didn't do too much exciting - spent a day window shopping in downtown franklin and enjoyed a very girly lunch, took mom to mckay's used books where she went a little nutty and bought a whole shopping cart full of books and we cooked the first of our three turkey meals this month!

bub took me to see new moon last week. i swear to you i have the world's best hubby! i admit i'm a little crazy about the whole twilight series now. why does this always happen to me? i'm always too late! it was like this with harry potter. i didn't even get into those books until about two years ago... i read all the books and then want more, only to find out the author isn't interested in penning any more books. that's how it seems to go with stephanie meyer - i read up a bit on her website and she states that she is done DONE with vampires... what!?! i find a series i love only to find out, i'm too late. oh well, i guess there are still two more movies to come - but really, she's got to give me a bit more on edward and bella! i read a good review of her new-ish book - the host - and she apparently has plans to write two to three more books of that series, so maybe i can jump on that now and be able to enjoy all the excitement of new books. but really miss meyer, a few more twilight novels would be VERY much enjoyed!

we hosted our first official turkey day here at our home today and i have to say - it went very well! the food was yummy and the company better - a lovely, lovely day!

a giant deer rammed into the side of my car on the way home from work one day this week. it scared the ever living crap out of me. i had NO idea that silly thing was even headed towards me and i was still in the subdivision - so for an instant i was worried a child or something had run out into the road. thank God it was just the stupid deer - not that i'd ever want to harm a living creature, but i can't imagine, i don't even want to say what might have happened if it had been a little one. it put a pretty good sized dent in both the driver's side doors - front and back - it was a big deer. ugh - just what we need right now, one more thing to spend money on.

speaking of money - i've had the never ending crown for my tooth drama for three weeks now. i had my tooth removed or taken down or whatever the heck it is they do, then they put the temporary tooth on there and then two weeks later i went in to have the crown put on... only the lab made it the wrong size so back on went the temp only for me to knock it loose and ugh, it's been one thing after another!! hopefully this coming friday i'll have a nice permanent tooth put back in... jeeze la weez!

well, i've rambled on enough. i've got to get my rest - i have a little teeny bit of spending money to use tomorrow at all the amazing black friday sales - we need a new Christmas tree and bub needs new running shoes, so i've got my mission! oh and speaking of running, i need to give a P90x update. we got a rocky start b/c i got sick with the death plague and had to take a full week off - so we re-started a week and we're in the middle of week 5 now if any of this makes sense??? i'm for sure getting into better shape and lost maybe two pounds, but nothing spectacular. i'm feeling stronger and my pants are a little looser... i think it's also a tough time of year to be working out like this - there are so many yummy foods and snacks around and it's getting chilly out, so we can't walk outside as much as we like... this week has been really tough so far though. i'll keep chugging along!
